Because of their nimble fingers elves are very good at spinning delicate, natural fibers into homespun yarn! They love to use their homespun on their pointy elf shoes.

White elf shoes are knit from either dandelion or thistledown homespun. Grey elf shoes are usually knit from pussy willow and pale pink from Prairie Smoke Flower homespun. Although it is worth noting that elf shoes come in a full range of colors as they are also experts at solar dyeing their yarns.

Spring Sale! All patterns in my spring and flower bundles are currently half off!

These cute and easy elf shoes are knit from the top down on dpns. They start in the round and then the flat part of the shoes is knit as an i-cord. The finishing is just weaving in ends. One of my testers said they have the easiest heel she’d ever turned in a sock.
