Easy Santa Hat Earrings Free Crochet Pattern

Ho, ho, ho! Let’s crochet some fun Santa hat earrings today! Wouldn’t you like to wear these to add a little Christmas cheer to your outfit?

These tiny Santa hats work up in no time and are beginner-friendly. They’re perfect for using up scrap yarn and making something truly cute. You could use them as delightful stocking stuffers, teacher gifts, or festive market items.

All you need is your hook, some red and white yarn, and some earring hooks! Follow the step-by-step instructions below and you’ll have a cute and festive little Santa hat earrings set.

Materials Needed
DK or weight 3 yarn (acrylic or cotton) in red and white. I used Paintbox Yarns Simply DK which comes in a 5 Ball Color Pack
Crochet hook that fits your yarn. For this project I used a 3 mm hook.
A tapestry needle
A pair of scissors
Earring hooks
Jewelry pliers/tongs

Abbreviations
MC = Magic Circle
sc = single crochet
sl st = slip stitch
st = stitch
sts = stitches
fo = fasten off

Skill Level
Intermediate

Size
Height by width = (8 cm x 5 cm) (3 inches x 2 inches)

Gauge
Gauge = 10 sc and 12 rows with a 3 mm crochet hook = 5 cm (2.5”).

Yardage
Approx. = 8 -10 meters (8.75 to 11 yards)

Notes
- Try to crochet over your yarn tails so you don’t have to weave them in later.

• Numbers at the end of each row (in brackets) indicate the number of final stitches in that row.

• Please note that I use US crochet terms.
