The cowl is worked in the round, beginning and ending with ribbing. Between the ribbed edges, the main pattern is worked over a 12-stitch repeat, with two colors alternated every round.

Featuring 1×1 cable stitches and slip stitches, the design offers beautiful texture and dimension. The two colors serve as an accent color and a background color; high-contrast color combinations are recommended to highlight the cables and stitch definition.

The pattern is written for one size with a fitted silhouette, using light fingering to fingering weight yarn. With adjustments to gauge, needle size, and yarn choice, it can be adapted to a variety of sizes.
