This is a charted pattern for a sachet that could be filled with dried lavender or stuffed with wadding and scented with essential oil. It depicts two celestial hares in an eternal journey between Earth and moon, amidst the whirling stars. It would make a special gift for a loved one, or it could be adapted into an unusual ring cushion for a wedding.

Gauge and needle size are not critical. I used 2mm needles and the sachet blocked to 4” square.

Only a small amount of yarn will be necessary (half an ounce of each colour should be plenty) & this project will be ideal for using up the leftovers from sock projects.

Some experience of stranded knitting in the round on a small scale, is probably desirable, along with knowledge of how to do Kitchener Stitch and Judy’s Magic Cast-on, for which there are many tutorials and videos available.
