Toad Familiar
Merry Christmas, everyone! Photoshopped my free Elf Hat pattern onto the Toad Familiar picture, so you can see how cute the hat looks on it! Free Elf Hat pattern can be found here - https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/toad-elf-hat
~~~Are you drawn to the whimsical and the mystical? Does magic sing in your veins? Do you hear the call of nature in the moonlight? If so, then you are undoubtably in need of your very own Toad Familiar to help you to navigate the illusions and vagaries of this sometimes bewildering world.~~~
Knitting pattern for your very own TOAD FAMILIAR.
Finished size: 3 1/2 inches high, and 3 1/2 inches wide (9 cm high, and 9 cm wide)
Level: Intermediate
This pattern has 22 pages, and 44 colour illustrations to help you on your way. I would call it an intermediate pattern, as following the Bead Stitch pattern for the Toad’s back requires a keen focus, as does trying to knit in the round with small needles and thin yarns. I highly recommend magnifying goggles for your journey!
Skills: Knitting, basic sewing (and perhaps some ability to weave magic)
Needles: 2.5 mm (US 1.5) double points
Toad body front and back are knitted flat (so straight needles can be used here, but aren’t necessary), while Toad legs are knitted in the round.
Yarns: Fingering Weight
I use 2 strands of fingering weight yarn held together to knit all aspects of the Toad.
Extras: 14 mm safety eyes, fiberfill, decorative filler
Note: Pattern also comes with advice on how to turn your Toad Familiar into a Toad Familiar Fairy.
