Toestep Tabis
Welcome to my Toestep Tabis pattern! I’ve been knitting split toe socks for years, and finally decided to design my own pattern,
one that has all the elements I think are good in a sock pattern.
It’s taken me 3 years to get it ready for publishing, through repeated knitting of test pairs on a quest to achieve beautiful shaping of the toe sections.
These Tabi socks are designed for women’s feet in 3 sizes that span the following foot lengths (inches/cm)
S - (9⅜-9⅝)/ (23.8-24.5)
M - (9¾-10)/(24.8-25.4)
L - (10⅛-10½)/(25.7-26.7)
These sizes correspond to western shoe sizes:
6.5-7.5/8-9/9.5-10.5
Size L also fits Men’s foot size 8-9
The gauge is the same as stated by the yarn maker (Paton’s).
2 skeins are required to make a pair.
The main sock body can be knit on a small circular, but a set of double pointed needles is required for the toe sections
