The Winter Matrix Cowl has 2 variations on the same theme: one that requires 2 yarns to be spun (plied) together, and the other which is knit in one yarn. Version 1 is a great project for beginning spinners, and the only spinning gear it requires is a drop spindle.
Version 2 is for knitters who just want to make the cowl. It’s worked up in versatile Cascade 128, a reliable yarn that’s very nice to work with. It’s worked completely in the round, and is ideal for advanced beginners on up.
