Tokyo Trains is a knitted blanket based on a range of train lines in the Tokyo rail network. It includes charts for the livery designs of trains from lines like the Ginza Line, the Marunouchi Line, the Chuo-Sobu Line and the Keihin-Tohoku Line.

The colours and designs of the trains can easily be adapted.

The banket is knitted flat as a single colourwork panel, with instructions for a simple crochet edge.

To complete this project, you will need approximately 450gm of 4-ply yarn (1200m), comprising approximately:

• 250gm white
• 85gm medium grey
• 45 dark grey
• 18gm each red and yellow
• 13gm blue
• 6gm (17m) each emerald green and light blue
• 3.5gm (10m) each pink, magenta, leaf green
• 2.5gm (7m) each lavender, gold
• 1gm (3.5m) orange

(A limited number of yarn packs is available at https://boykitsworld.myshopify.com for delivery within Australia only)

The smooth finish of 4-ply cotton provides for a fine, lightweight result. The project can also be made using wool and/or a thicker yarn and larger needles, all of which will produce a heavier blanket.

The finished size should be approximately 88 x 98cm.
