Since we all find ourselves in strange and uncharted times thanks to COVID 19, I would like to do something special with the pattern sales. I am a big supporter of helping small businesses and spending local. It is more important now than ever to make sure that our loved ones are safe but also that our economy keeps going. 49% of all businesses in the US are made up from small businesses. We cannot afford to see them go. Just imagine what your city would look like without independently owned coffee shops, restaurants and your LOCAL YARN SHOP!!! So, I am going to donate 50% of the pattern sales to my LYS, Love & Stitches in Whitesboro, NY. I love that little shop and all the people in it. Please help to make sure they’ll be able to keep their doors open.

Tom’s Horseshoe Socks were designed for my father in law Tom. He likes solid colors, so when designing the sock, the emphasis was put on the pattern. The design consists of cable rows and knit and purl variations. Even though it looks very intricate, the pattern repeat is simple enough to memorize.

The socks are knitted from the top down on either size US 1(2.25mm) or US1.5 (2.5mm) needles. For wider feet it is recommended to go with the bigger size. You might also need stitch markers and a cable needle.

The instructions come for two sizes: M US8F/9F or L US10M/11M (EU38/39 or EU44/45)

Recommended yarn is fingering sock weight yarn, preferably with nylon content. 3.5oz/100g, around 438yards/400m.
