NOCIONES PREVIAS

SKILLS
To knit this top you need to know how to cast on stitches with a provisional method, to knit, purl, and work flat as well as in the round, to make increases knitting in the front and back of the same stitch and with the “make one away” technique (the one most commonly used to cast on stitches at the underarm, also known as the backwards loop method), to pick up stitches, to make decreases, and to perform an i-cord bind-off.

CONSTRUCTION
This top is knit top-down. First the back is worked flat, then the front is worked flat, and once all increases for the armhole shaping have been done, front and back are joined to continue working the body in the round. At the end, stitches are picked up around the neckline and armholes to finish them with an i-cord. Finally, stitches are pic ked up at the armholes again to work a frill. It is worked seamlessly, all in one piece. It is worked in stockinette stitch with a rib pattern at the sides.
