Top with braid is a light summer top with narrow straps and a braid on the front piece, which is quickly knitted on a large needle.

The top is knitted from the top down with a simple braid mid front and the rest in stockinette st. The pattern provides two different options for the edge below; a raw rolled edge and a folded edge. You start by knitting in the round until you reach the point of the top where the work is divided in a front and back piece, which are knitted back and forth separately.

The braid on the front piece is knitted using a cable needle over 15 stitches and is explained in a separate section further below.
If you use the recommended Coast yarn from Garnpusher.dk you end up with a light and airy top that is perfect even on hot summer days.
Read the entire pattern before beginning to knit and remember to knit a swatch first.

Have fun knitting!
