Topo is a road map to navigate short rows; the graphic contours of this garter stitch fabric are created entirely with simple short rows. Combining short rows with alternating colors allows you to see the shapes that short rows create, while providing a striking, graphic design! Knit flat, you can use this piece as a scarf, or join the ends to create a cozy cowl.

The pattern begins with a Travel Itinerary, that leads you to follow three different Maps along the way. Just before you reach your Destination, you’ll have the opportunity to explore a bit. But don’t worry - if you’re not comfortable on your own there’s one final map to lead you to the end of your journey.

This design is great for a beginner knitter who’s comfortable following a pattern.
