Torch is the second large dragon pattern I have created. He wasn’t really on my agenda but after Christmas when one of my son’s was very happy and the other two literally were crying, I realized I needed to make 2 more. I wanted him to be very vibrant and fierce. So, he has many horns and flames that go down his back, wings and tail. His wings fold out of the way for easier storage. He was created using a continuous technique which reduces sewing but also places him in an advanced crochet category. His final touch is the retractable flames that come out of his mouth. I am very pleased with how he turned out and so are my little ones.
He uses 46 skeins of yarn, with 4 of them using minimal amounts.
His dimensions are: Tip of nose to tip of tail 9ft 11in, Tip of nose to curve of tail 4ft 7in, Wing span 6ft 8in, Height 1ft 9in.
