OVERVIEW
This mitten pattern was designed to use leftover yarn without looking like a typical scrap-yarn-project. The goal is a cohesive, stylish result without obvious striping or random color changes.

SIZES
Womens = W: S-(M)-L
Mens = M: S-(M)-L
Project on the front page is a size womens M.

Sizing for Another Person
Ask them to place their hand flat on paper and trace around it. Use that outline as your guide while knitting. Lay your mitten on the drawing to check length, width, and thumb placement. It’s an easy way to make sure the mittens fit them well without needing their hand nearby.

YARN
DROPS Karisma
W: 53-(57)-62 grams
M: 73-(76)-80 grams
Measure your yarn scraps before starting. If you have a total of the amount indicated for your size, you have enough to knit the mittens.
For identical-color mittens, weigh each color and divide by 2 to ensure both mittens can match.
Weigh your yarn as you knit to know when you have used half of the color and need to switch colors. TIP: Increase the warmth level by adding a mohair.

GAUGE
20 sts x 26 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm after blocking.
Needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm, change to a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm, change to a smaller needle size.

MATERIALS
4.0 mm circular needles and magic loop method is used, but DPNs can be used instead.
The same needle size is used for both the ribbing, hand, and thumb of the mittens.
