This is a pattern to crochet your own macrame-inspired plant pot hanger to display your trailing houseplants.

The pattern uses UK terminology throughout. You do not need to be able to read charts to use this pattern, each round is fully written out with helpful photographs and helpful notes to assist. Two black and white charts are provided for chart readers for completeness.

Beginners with a little experience of basic stitches should be able to use this pattern. If you can chain and do double, treble, half treble and slip stitches, you should have no problem with making this item.

The hanger will fit a pot with a diameter of 12.5-15cm (5-6 inches) and similar height The overall length measures approximately 59cm (23.5 inches) from tip of hanging loop to the bottom of the pot when displaying a 12.5cm (5 inches) potted plant

The pattern uses a single 50g ball of 4ply cotton yarn. The first two photographs show the pattern worked up using Scheepjes Catona in silver grey. The second two photographs show it worked in Scheepjes Linen Soft, colour 614. Alternatively, you can substitute any 4 ply weight cotton or cotton blend yarn you like. You will need 50g.

A typical hook to use is 4mm (G). Depending on yarn thickness, you may have to adjust hook size to achieve the correct gauge.

The pattern is published free to view on-line on my blog (and always will be). For those requiring a print-friendly version, a link is provided where a PDF may be purchased for a modest fee.
