Transcend is a beautifully lightweight, voluminous sweater. Knit up with a single strand of Alpaca Suri Silk yarn, this garment offers an airy yet cosy garment with an all-over eyelet lace pattern. On a darker colourway, as in the sample, the eyelet lace creates a subtle texture, whilst on a lighter colourway the lacework is more obvious.

SAMPLE
The wearer is 5’10” with a 37” chest circumference. The sample is worked in size L, giving 8“/20.5cm positive ease at the chest.

SIZING
This garment is graded into sizes XS (S, M, L, XL) (2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL). Recommended positive ease is 4-11” / 10-28cm at the chest.

Garment Chest circumference: 36 (39, 42, 45, 51) (54, 57, 63, 66)” / 91.5 (99, 106.5, 114.5, 129.5) (137, 145, 160, 167.5) cm.

CONSTRUCTION
This garment is worked top down. It starts with casting on the front and back shoulder stitches and the back of the neckline all at once; then front and back are worked separately, flat, until the armhole is complete. At this point front and back are joined to work the body in the round. Stitches are picked up around the neckline to work a neckband and around the armhole to form each sleeve. Sleeves are also worked in the round, from the armhole to the cuff. Throughout the knit, eyelet lace patterns are worked into the garment to create a beautiful and gently geometric design.

GAUGE
Using 3.5mm / US size 4 needles, or needle size required to meet gauge, 24 stitches over 30 rows in stockinette stitch, blocked, creates a 4x4” / 10x10cm square.

YARN
This garment is worked using a single strand of Hypothesis Yarn’s Suri Silk laceweight base, a 74% / 26% blend of Baby Suri Alpaca / Mulberry Silk.
