Prior to designing this cowl, I was contemplating the power of change, and how the difficulties that we face can inspire us to turn inward, and find our inner strength. And with this design, I was seeking to express the beauty inherent within inner change and transformation.

Thank you all for sharing this journey with me, and for your encouragement and support.

Materials:
• One 4mm / US size 6 circular needle, 61cm / 24” in length, or size needed to meet the required gauge.
• 4 stitch markers, optional, one of which is used to mark the beginning of round.
• Tapestry needle for sewing in threads.
• Blocking materials.
• Worsted weight yarn in two colours, approximately 180m / 197yds of the Main Colour and approximately 100m / 109yds of the Contrast Colour. The sample is knitted in Rowan, Pure Wool Superwash Worsted - 100% wool, 200m / 219yds per 100g, and is shown in colourways 00189 (Main Colour) and 00102 (Contrast Colour).

Size:
One size, the cowl measures 72cm / 28” in circumference and 28cm / 11” in height. The width is easily adaptable by adding or subtracting multiples of 36 stitches (this will alter yardage requirements).

Gauge:
20 stitches and 24 rows = 10cm / 4in in stranded knitting, knitted in the round, and blocked.
