This jumper has been designed to suit beginner knitters, it is the ideal pattern for a knitter who has just started their knitting journey.

The Trevor Jumper is boxy, baggy, and snuggly. I wrote this pattern after improvising a very similar jumper for my second born cockapoo, Trevor.
The Trevor Jumper is knitted up by knitting flat panels for the front and back, and rectangular arms (little scarves) for the arms. Once all panels are sewn up, we pick up stitches along the neckline and make a ribbed neckband.
Please note that you can knit up two front panels if you would like for your Trevor Jumper to be reversible!
I have written instructions on how to make your Trevor Jumper cropped or long, or anywhere between :D

Tension:
In stocking stitch, working flat (one row knit, one row purl)
10 stitches= 9.5cm width
10 rows= 7cm

Ease:
The Trevor Jumper has been designed to have around 10 inches/25cms of positive ease, meaning that it is slouchy and oversized. For a more snug fit, please size down one or two sizes. Measure your bust, then add 25cm/10inches; this is how I designed the Trevor Jumper to fit.

Materials:
☺ 1 pair of 7mm needles
☺ 1 pair of 6mm needles
(or use needle size needed for you to achieve correct tension)
☺ 6mm circular needle to knit your neckline in the round
(if this is your preferred method)
☺ 6mm Crochet Hook - for picking up stitches around the neckline (if this is your preferred method)
☺ My test knitters from the US who couldn’t get hold of 7mm needles opted for 6mm (US Size 10) and used these for the entire vest (check gauge)
☺ Darning needle to seam panels

Yarn and Yarn Combinations:
you can either use…
3 strands of dk held together
2 strands of aran/worsted weight held together OR
1 strand of chunky

Yarn Amounts:
Yarn amounts needed will of course depend on which yarn/yarn combination you choose and also how you customise your jumper (for example if you go for a longer Trevor Jumper you will need more yarn than you would if you knit up a more cropped version).
I recommend you have between 500-1000grams of yarn for this project!
