Trilby is a pregnant tribble. All tribbles are born pregnant. It’s a science fiction fact.

This pattern is for the mother tribble, who is made unstuffed with an opening covered by a flap. She is filled with four baby tribbles, which are the same pattern, just smaller. They are finished and stuffed. They can be born out of her opening. She is then a bit deflated (as are all mothers that have just given birth), but holds her shape enough due to her tight gauge that she could be gently played with.

The materials required are:
Two skeins of eyelash yarn in the colors of your choice
70-80 yards of worsted weight yarn to double with the eyelash yarn (in colors that match the eyelash yarn)
Stuffing for the babies (and mother, if you like)
Size 9 (5.5mm) knitting needles
Large tapestry needle

Please remember to keep all tribbles out of the engine and mechanical rooms. Also, keep them away from Klingons. The sound of five screaming tribbles is probably deafening. I wouldn’t know, since there are no Klingons in my sector. But it’s only fair to give you a warning.
