I love pumpkins any time of the year, however they have become known for being star of the show at Halloween. Whether it’s for Halloween, harvest festive or an all round addition to your décor, these pumpkins will work up a treat.

This pattern is for small, medium and large pumpkins, knit on circular needles or double-pointed needles (dpn’s). You can make them as stand-alone pumpkins, or string them up as a neat hanging decoration. Instructions also given for making them weather-proof, so they could hang either inside or outside.

The same pattern is also designed for use with straight needles.

However you do your pumpkin, you do you!

ERRATA: I have just realised that I’ve not updated the finishing instructions for the circulars, and they still refer to sewing up the seam then stuffing. I will update the pdf, however in the meantime you need to know the following:

You will need to stuff the pumpkin before completing the final decrease, when there are still 12sts left, then complete the final row. This will give you a similar gap to the seamed version e.g. around 1”.

Thanks!

Jen
