This lace scarf combines the best knit purl combinations and lace knitting. The result is quite striking. The way that the stitches are juxtaposed, gives it a dimension that’s not often seen in lace knitting. Despite the fact that it’s lace and made using sport weight yarn, the turtleneck section will keep you warm on even the coldest of days.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a good working knowledge of both cables and lace knitting).

This pattern is both charted and written out line by line. There are also instructions for a simple crocheted edging.

The sample was expertly test knitted by Phyllis Lederman who can be contacted at: phylisgl@verizon.net (and who is known on Ravelry as “phyllisgl”), and was knitted using Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sport Weight yarn in colorway, Sage.
