This blanket can be worked flat as individual panels or as a single piece with one seam, or, if you’re using a single color yarn, it can be worked in the round. If you work this in one piece you will need needles long enough to carry about 900 stitches. You will also need a cable or double-pointed needle of about the same gauge as the other needle(s) to work the horizontal bar.

The blanket features a triangular cable design with a horizontal bar. The pattern includes instructions and pictures of how to create a horizontal “cable” as well as charts for the cable and twisted stitch patterns.

The sample was worked using 6 balls of different colors, one ball per panel. The “shortest” ball determined the size of the blanket.
