Fair Isle color work with a Scandinavian vibe, the “Troy” cowl and coordinating hat offer cozy warmth to cold winter days. The cowl has a hemmed neck to hide floats, and incorporates subtle increases so that it rests nicely over the tops of your shoulders. The hat uses the same colors placed differently in the pattern to pair as a counterpoint to the cowl.
It’s knitted using four contrasting colors of DK weight yarn. Pictured here, featuring The Plucky Knitter Terra DK in Chinos, Powdered Sugar, Cloud Cap and Cuddle Bug.
Troy, Alabama is a small town located in the south eastern part of the state, and Troy, Michigan is a suburb of Detroit.

The pattern includes three PDFs. One is the main pattern and includes written instructions plus the color charts for the hat and cowl pictured here.
The 2nd and 3rd PDFs contain hat and cowl color charts for The Plucky Knitter kits 2-20 from the 1-10-21 update.
