This fitted tunic features a flattering use of color blocking to accent a pop of color near the face and a dark block of thin neutral color along the torso. The front and back are worked flat and as one piece to allow for the simple intarsia color block (the back is a solid neutral color to keep with the classic look of this silhouette). Simple cap sleeves are achieved by finishing the stitches set aside for the sleeves at the end of the top down raglan shaping. The length of the final garment can be determined by the knitter; however, I envision this landing just above the knee for a flattering look.* All in all, this dress looks like it took much more time and finesse than it really did.

My own patience did not last this long, as shown by the sample. But perhaps I will add to it later, and option open to any hand knitter :)
