This design is a unique combination of lace and intarsia which creates a shallow, wide shawl that sits easily in a variety of styles. The colors of a handpainted yarn can be displayed to their best in the stockinette sections, whereas a more subtle tonal or solid color can showcase the lace panel. Alternatively, it can be knit in one color, negating the need for intarsia work.

The shawl shown was knit using 250yds color A (pink) and 125yds color B (neutral) on size 6 needles, and measures approximately 60” wide by 13” deep.
