Tulare Scarf
Knitting - Beginner
Crochet - Intermediate
This is a knitting and crochet pattern. Not to worry! If you’ve only dabbled in one of these crafts, I will carefully walk you through how to complete each step.
The base of this scarf is worked in the garter knitting stitch with fingering yarn. This is a knit only stitch (no purling, yay!).
The edge detailing will be done with lace and will involve a pattern of single and treble crochet stitches. If you have never crocheted lace before, I would suggest practicing this pattern on worsted weight yarn first, but don’t overestimate lace crochet! As long as you have a relaxed hand, the small scale of the stitches won’t cause you any stress.
You will need 2 balls of the cotton thread for crochet and 2 balls of the wool fingering yarn for the knitting.
