Tunde is a double knit shawl inspired by Hungarian embroidery and cross stitch patterns. The shawl is knit with two different types of yarn: mohair and boucle. These two yarns create a soft focus effect when used in color work and give the resulting design a faded etherial feel. The fabric they produce is also light, warm and very cosy.

The shawl is knit from the bottom up starting with a provisional cast on. It is increase at the beginning and the end of each RS row to create the triangle shape. The shawl is finished with a sewn bind off that is similar to a tubular bind off on one needle.

Yarn:
MC - 100g 240 yds/220 m Skein Avril Mohair Tam (70% mohair 20% nylon 10% wool) in color 00 White

CC - (two strands held together)
22g 240 yds/220 m Avril D-Loop (75% wool 25% nylon) in color 69 Navy
55g 240 yds/220 m Avril Rainbow Loop (80% wool 20% Nylon) shown in 06 brown mix

Or use 240 yds each for your MC and CC in a bulky weight yarn.

Finished size: Measures 56 inches in width and 28.75 inches from the center neck to the point
