Tunisian Placemats
by Erin Awalt
If you have ever wondered if you can make an oval with Tunisian crochet, here is the answer. These placemats are fun to work, lie perfectly flat after blocking, and make use of lighter weights of cotton yarn that are inexpensive and hard to find a use for. They can be worked with almost any cotton, from heavy fingering to light worsted. You need a double-ended Tunisian crochet hook to work this pattern.
