The turtle’s journey is now a scarf! After a provisional cast-on, you’ll create turtle tracks that lead down to a turtle and a wavy edging. At the end, you’ll unravel your provisional cast-on and knit a wavy edging on the cast-on edge. Learn something new as you create finished i-cord edges along your turtle’s journey.

Finished Size: approx. 64” long x 8” wide (162 x 20 cm) after blocking. You may make this scarf longer by repeating the Turtle Tracks pattern additional times. Please make sure you have adequate yardage in order to add length to your scarf.

Materials:
• DK or worsted weight yarn, approx. 400 yds, 366 m. Shown in fingering weight yarn (held double), such as Zen Superfine Fingering 800 yds, 731 m.
• US Size 6 (4.0 mm) needle (or size needed to obtain gauge)
• Stitch markers
• Waste yarn for provisional cast-on
• Tapestry needle
• Scale for weighing yarn

Gauge: 18 sts = 4” (10 cm) in seed stitch after blocking

Note: This scarf may be worked with different weight yarns. If you change the yarn weight, make sure that you choose
a needle size that gives you the drape you desire in the fabric. Yardage requirements will change based on yarn weight and gauge.
