Inspired by the strong lines and movement of a fabulous mural in Montreal, this shawl is a terrific opportunity to pair a colorful gradient or mini skein pack with a solid yarn. Slipped stitches and cables create a sophisticated pattern across the simple garter stitch of the shawl. A bonus? There’s very little purling!

Finished Size: approximately 96” wide x 23” deep (244 x 58 cm) after blocking.

Materials:
• Fingering weight yarn, 930 yds/850 m (MC 500 yds/457 m, CC 430 yds/393 m)
As shown: Fyberspates Scrumptious (MC) and Frabjous Fibers Cheshire Cat Mini Skein Pack (CC)
• US Size 5 (3.75 mm) 40” (101 cm) or longer circular needle (or size needed to obtain gauge) and one DPN of the same size
• Stitch markers
• Cable needle
• Tapestry needle

Gauge: 20 sts = 4” (10 cm) in garter st before blocking, 17 sts = 4” (10 cm) after blocking

Note: This shawl may be worked with lighter or heavier weight yarns. If you change the yarn weight, make sure that you choose
a needle size that gives you the drape you desire in the fabric. Yardage requirements will change based on yarn weight and gauge.
