The Swedish tvåändsstickning (‘two-end knitting’, or ‘twined’) technique creates a particularly dense, soft fabric that is elastic, comfortable, warm, and windproof.

This is a straightforward hat project for anyone familiar with the basics of Tvåändsstickning. The aran-weight yarn makes this hat a relatively quick knit, and the simple, bold, mosaic pattern suits the yarn well.

Pattern is in English, and instructions are written as well as charted. An alternate set of charts is included for reversed colour dominance).

The tvåändsstickning fabric is stretchy, and the hat is designed to be quite snug, with a lot of negative ease. For a looser fit, increase needle size for a looser gauge.
