GAUGE: 18 sts & 20 rows = 4 inches in Garter Stitch
This scarf is knit lengthwise instead of crosswise, which knits up quicker. The process also creates some self- fringe. Part of the fun is choosing your palette of colors to create your stripes. Most of the stripes are worked in the garter stitch, with a twisted stitch added to some stripes for interest.
