Twister is a fun, quirky scarf that is knit lengthwise to create a very functional, wearable shape! Twister is a long parallelogram that was designed to show off those self-striping yarns in sideways, short row bands to POP off the simple bands of garter stitch. It’s fun, functional, and flirty!

Size: 80 in/205 cm along the length of the scarf X 13 in/35 cm at the widest part of the scarf. Scarf size may vary, depending on individual knitter’s gauge, yarns used, and blocking preferences.

Recommended yarn: Two colors of fingering weight yarn; one in a solid/tonal/semi-solid/speckle and the other in a self-striping, gradient, or crazy variegated to make the sideways bands POP!

Sample Used: Madelinetosh Euro Sock (100% Wool; 435 yd/398 m) in the color way “Void” (MC - solid) and White Birch Fiber Arts 80/20 Merino/Nylon Self-Striping (80% Merino/20% Nylon; 400 yd/ 365 m) in the color way: “The Full Monty” (CC – self-striping)
