Twisty Candy Bag
The Twisty Candy Bag is a playful crochet bag shaped like wrapped candy. The main fabric is worked flat in double crochet, beginning with increases to create a triangular shape. The fabric is then worked straight until it reaches the desired width, and decreases are worked to complete a square fabric with diagonal stripes.
The yarn color is changed every 2 rows to create the striped effect. After the square fabric is completed, it is folded like a gatefold, and a colorful two-way zipper is hand-sewn to the center opening. Both sides are then sewn together, and the ends are gathered to create the candy-wrapper shape.
Loops are made at both gathered ends, and a mini chain is attached to use the bag as a strap.
If you are using Leather Edition yarn, please use a 3.0 mm crochet hook.
