This pattern allows you to make best use of those single, almost full, balls of yarn you have lying around. Equally, a great way to combine two balls of special yarn into a treasured piece!

Whilst this involves stranded colour-work, it’s the easiest colour-work you’ll ever do! There are no charts involved with a simple 2x2 repeat, and no counting! A perfect introduction to stranded knitting!

Materials
- Around 40g /120 metres (155 yards) DK or Sport weight yarn each of Colour A and Colour B.

Some DK yarns come in 50g/90-100m balls. It’s fine to use these but you may find your cowl a little shorter! Alternatively, think about casting on less stitches and making it a little more snug!

3mm (US 2.5) & 3.5mm (US 4) 60cm circular knitting needles.

Measurements
60cm diameter (24”) x 21cm tall (8.5”) in pattern

Gauge
(Not too important)22sts (width) x 30sts (height) per 10cm squared.
