This tea cozy is designed to fit a classic 2-cup Brown Betty tea pot, but should fit other 2-cup tea pots of similar shape. It uses only 20 yards of fingering weight/sock yarn, so it is the perfect way to use up that last bit of yarn leftover after finishing another project. The simple stockinette design really shows off colorful hand-painted, speckled, or variegated yarns.

This pattern is suitable for the intermediate knitter. You should be familiar with knitting in the round, increases and decreases, casting on stitches mid-project, and grafting. It requires independent knowledge of a stretchy cast-on technique of your choice (instructions not given in pattern).

This pattern is seamlessly knitted in one piece, and can be knitted with or without the top flap to hold on the teapot lid. It can be knitted on dpns or two circulars, or with one long circulars using magic loop or traveling loop.

This is my first published pattern, if you have any questions or problems with it, please don’t hesitate to contact me on Ravelry :-)
