This bag was designed with summer in mind. It is the first in my crochet summer ‘V’ bag collection. It can hold all the essentials for a summer day out. It has a sturdy handle and a button closure. A zip or snap closure can easily be substituted.

The bottom is worked first in rows, then stitches are picked up around the base to work the body in the round with side shaping.
The top ‘V’ sections are then worked in rows.

The handle is worked separately and then attached along the whole length of each side to give a secure and decorative result.

The side shaping on the bag combined with the integral handle ensures that it hangs beautifully on the shoulder.

The bag is approximately 22cm (8½in) wide at the base and 19cm (7½in) wide at the top of the ’V’.
The handle can be made to any required length.
