þula is a nearly seamless yoked sweater, knit in the round from the bottom up. The sweater body is worked in the round in one piece. The sleeves are also worked in the round with increases. A few stitches are put on yarn holder for the underarm and later grafted together using kitchener stitch. Body and sleeves are then joined together and the pattern is worked around in the yoke.

The open sweater has 2 stitches at the front knitted with a purled stitch and to finish you sew on a sewing machine with the smallest stitch into these 2 stitches and cut the sweater open in the middle, you can also add extra stitches and do the crochet steeking method.

The sweater in the picture is shown in Léttlopi.

Þula is available in sizes 2-3 (4-5) 6-7 and (8-9) years and is knitted with traditional Icelandic knitting techniques.
