Deborah Newton dubbed these “the ultimate hybrid” socks, so I’ve named them ULHY.

These socks are flat-knitted with no seaming. They are knitted from the cuff down AND from the toe up! First you knit the back of the calf down to the heel, along the way, all the edge stitches are slipped. The heel is formed with increases and short rows. Decreases and short rows form the toe and the rest of the sock is knitted from toe up, joining on each side to the slipped stitches as you go. There is an optional motif of tassels on the top of the foot. Bind off and you’re done! No double-points, no seaming!
