Ullobáidi Geassi Mohair

Ullobáidi means “wool sweater” in Sámi and was the first Sámi-inspired design I created. The star-patterned colorwork motif is inspired by patterns found in Sámi woven shoe bands from several regions.

Ullobáidi Geassi Mohair is worked from the top down with a circular yoke shaped with increases. One strand of Sunday and one strand of Tynn Silk Mohair are held together throughout, and the sweater can be worked with either a cropped or regular body length.
