Ullobáidi – Wool Sweater

Ullobáidi means “Wool Sweater” in Sámi and was the first Sámi-inspired design I created. The star motif is inspired by patterns found in traditional woven shoe bands in several areas.
Ullobáidi is worked from the bottom up with a circular yoke shaped with decreases. The sweater is worked in the round in stockinette stitch and stranded colorwork, with German Short Rows used for shaping.
