The Ultimate Shawl is a versatile, wearable, triangular shawl knitting pattern. The Ultimate Shawl is written in two sizes; small and large. Just getting started knitting shawls? This is perfect pattern for newer knitters - or a relaxing project for an experienced shawl knitter! Any solid, variegated or ombre fingering weight yarn is suitable for this pattern. The shawl is worked side-to-side with easy cast-on and bind-off methods. There textured panels of lattice mesh & garter. And, there’s a helpful chart to keep track of stitch counts along the way.

Finished Sizes:
Small: 50” x 19” (127 x 48 cm), blocked.
Large: 69” x 30” (175 x 76 cm). blocked.

Small: 2 skeins Knit Picks Palette Fingering Weight (231 yds./50 g. each) Colorway shown: Bellini.
Large: 4 skeins Knit Picks Palette Fingering Weight (231 yds./50 g. each) Colorway shown: Hyacinth.

Or, 100 (200) g of similar light fingering weight yarn.

Needles Used:
US 4 (3.5 mm) 40” (100 cm) circular needle or size to obtain gauge.

Notions Used:
Tapestry needle and stitch markers.

Gauge:
5.5 sts and x 8 rows per 1” (2.5 cm) in pattern, blocked.
