Under the Bough is a cowl/snood designed to wear on those days where you need a little something around your neck, but your average cowl, shawl, snood or scarf is just too heavy. Knitted in a lace weight yarn, with a leafy lace pattern repeat that covers 24 stitches and 12 rows, Under the Bough is lightweight, airy, and fits easily in your handbag, backpack, or even your pocket once the day has warmed up. The cute little leaf design can be worn pointing upwards, like shoots, or drooping downwards, like weeping branches.

Dimensions: 58 (67.5)cm around neck. 43 (or 23 if only 3 lace repeats are worked) cm length.

Needles and notions: 4mm and 3.5mm needle circular needles, 40-50cm length, or needles required to obtain gauge, 1 beginning of round marker and 5 stitch markers

Gauge: 22 stitches and 33 rows = 10cm in stocking stitch using larger needle. Smaller needle should be one 0.5mm smaller than larger needle

Yarn: approx. 350 - 400 meters - 1 skein of Malabrigo Lace (shown in shade periwinkle)
