A simple, slouchy cowl that uses a spiraling slipped-stitch pattern to showcase a main color and as many contrasting colors as you desire. Shown with 16 rounds each of 12 different contrasting colors.

Skills required
• Long-tail cast-on
• Working in the round
• Slipping stitches
• Icelandic bind-off (instructions provided)

Gauge
21 stitches in 4 inches of blocked stockinette. Gauge is not critical but will affect your finished size and yardage required

Materials
• 540 yards of fingering-weight yarn – 300 yards of the main color and 20 yards each of 12 contrasting colors
• US 5/3.75 mm circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge with a cable length of 16-24”
• Stitch marker
• Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
