Almost bare branches are scattered on a garter stitch background on this cowl which is trimmed with trellis stitch borders. Worked from the bottom up in the round.

Garter stitch worked in the round
Slipped stitches
Decreasing
Increasing
Yarn overs and backwards yarn overs
Twisted stitches (single and right twist and left twist worked over 2 stitches)
