The body and head of the unicorn are worked in the round while the legs are worked flat and sewn up.

The mane was created using loop stitch of which there are plenty of tutorials on youtube. One that I found helpful was www.planetjune.com/help.

When makeing the horn I held some silver thread with the yarn but this is not essential.
