PDF Crochet pattern for the Unpolished Skirt.

This is a pattern for the skirt only, the top is in a different pattern.

Dare I say it? Inspired by my inferiority complex I created what might be the most universally flattering pattern of my career. Check the hashtag #unpolishedset on instagram to see others wearing this garment! The skirt has a tight fit with a split that can be worn wherever you like it! It features 2 shape guides, based on your waist-to-hip ratio to ensure a perfect fit.

This pattern is for intermediate crocheters and up.

To be crocheted with 5-10 cm negative ease, and is supposed to be tight.

Yarn

Viking Bambino, 50% cotton/50% bamboo, 50g/176meters.

Fingering/4-ply/yarn weight 1.

2 strands held together.

The skirt is crocheted with 2 strands held together. Yarn can be subsituted for any 2 strands of fingering or any 1 strand of worsted weight yarn. If substituting yarn, make sure that your gauge is still light, airy and easily pliable.

Hook: 3,5mm (or hook needed to meet gauge)

Other: tapestry needle

Elastic thread, approx 10 times the length of your waist measurement.

If making shape B: a button, 15mm i diameter

Gauge

Gauge for 10x10cm/4x4in: 17 sts by 12 rows in half double crochet in the third loop at the front

Always make a gauge swatch and remember to block it!
