Did you know that urchin shells were called ‘tests’?

The test is the sea urchins external skeleton. This globe-like shape has bony plates that form shell, providing protection for their soft inner parts. The body of a sea urchin has radial symmetry, which means that it is divided into five equal parts. Sea urchins can live up to 200 years (the red sea urchin is the longest living creature on the planet); however, most species only live for about 30 years. The Design …
This is an easy stitch pattern of knits and purls, knit with large needles and super bulky yarn; which means it is also a quick knit! The result is a seed stitch hat divided into sections by a vertical column of stockinette stitch.
