Vålådalen Slippers is a warm and cosy slipper perfect for your stay at home evenings in winter. It’s knitted from the toe and up, with a simple cable pattern on the top of the foot, a short row heel and a short cuff in rib.

When the slippers are knitted in Nutiden they are delicate and will easily break if you walk around in them, therefore I only recommend you to knit in Nutiden if you want to use them only in bed or couch, not for walking around. If you want to walk around in them I recommend you to use a DK sock yarn with mohair, or a sock yarn with 180 meters per 100 grams.

The pattern is inspired by the mountains of Jämtland, Vålådalen during winter in particular.

I recommend you to use a cable knitting needle when knitting the cables, to make it easier.
