Hagakvísl
Hagakvísl is a classic Icelandic lopi sweater with an intricate colourwork yoke, worked with up to three colours at a time. It is worked from the bottom and up, with the body and sleeves worked separately at first and then united to knit the yoke, and the underarms are then grafted together using mattress stitch.
Sizes: A B, C, D E, F, G H, I* with corresponding chest circumference of 86 95, 105, 117 126, 138, 148 157, 169 cm. A positive ease of 7-12 cm is recommended.
Length of body from underarm: 48 49, 49, 50 52, 53, 54 54, 55, 55 cm
Length of sleeves from underarm: 46 47, 47, 48.5 48.5, 49.5, 51 51, 51 cm
Upper sleeve circumference: 35 35, 37, 40 42, 45, 46 46, 49
Neckline circumference: 42 43, 45, 46 49, 52, 54 54, 55 cm
Yoke depth from lower neckline rib edge: 21.5, 21.5, 23 24, 24.5, 25 25, 25 cm
Gauge: 13 sts x 18 rnds in colourwork and stockinette, for 10 x 10 cm. Suggested needle size is 6.5 mm.
Yarn: Bulky yarn of choice, Álafosslopi or double saga works well, 100 g = 100 m.
Difficulty: 4 out of 5

CC1: 1 1, 1, 1 1, 1, 1 1, 1 skein

CC4: 1 1, 1, 1 1, 1, 1 1, 1 skein
